Thank
you for the opportunity to discuss with you, Cascade Vista
Athletic Club. (CVAC). CVAC is a Washington State registered
non-profit youth organization. We were founded in 1963 and
have become a valuable community organization. Our sole
mission is to provide quality baseball and softball programs
for the youth of the greater Renton area and neighboring
communities. The 2008 season has 38 teams with over 400
players ranging from 5-18.
State law prohibits a non-profit organization from raising
costs through participation fees only. The law requires
an organization to raise 1/3 of its operating costs from
fundraisers and donations. CVAC registration fees range
from $32 at the T-Ball level to $150 for Palomino. These
fees account for approximately 1/3 of our costs per year.
The remaining 2/3 is acquired through fundraisers and donations.
Each player is required to help generate these additional
funds for the league through their participation in league-sponsored
fundraisers.
CVAC is actively seeking sponsors who are willing to help
financially to support our efforts in providing quality
baseball and softball programs for our areas youth. Sponsorship
monies help to provide items such as equipment, insurance,
uniforms, utilities, field maintenance and rentals, as well
as umpires and franchise fees.
