From the desk of the President

More than 55 years ago CVAC was born to provide the youth of the Cascade Vista area a place to play sports. Am not just talking baseball, but basketball, swimming, football, soccer and any other sport that was needed.

Fast forward to today, only baseball remains as other youth organizations have split from its founding members to create their own group.

As President of this league, I promise we will be here for many years to come as the league who provides recreational baseball with the lowest pay to play fee then any other Little League or Pony organization in the region.

No other league has the greatest board who has the interest of the children and its families by keeping registration fees low.

We have eliminated two required components - the raffle and team sponsorships. We have added the raffle in the total cost of registration. We are still $40-200 less than others who still require selling chocolate or tickets.

This will be my last year on the board with CVAC as my oldest will graduate Lindbergh and my youngest will begin Hazen next year. Both love the game of baseball win or lose. My passion expands as the assistant coach for Lindbergh baseball and head coach to a group of now Shetland 6-year-olds that I have coached for 4 years.

My only question for everyone - Have you Volunteered Lately? Because saying your too busy isn't enough!

Sincerely

David Nelson
CVAC President
