Cascade Vista Baseball Families,
The Cascade Vista Board and I understand there is a lot of uncertainty about the coronavirus and the impact it is having in our communities, schools and on the baseball field. This fluid, and ever-changing, situation is making decisions challenging, at best. We are also aware of the Governor’s recent ban on gatherings of 250 people, or more, and his closure of local school districts for six weeks, the closure of school fields for sports, and the suspension of college and professional sports seasons.
As a community organization, we feel that is it our civic responsibility to help combat the spread of this virus and keep our families safe, therefore:
We are pushing back the start of our 2020 season for at least 2 weeks.
We are cancelling all Cascade Vista Baseball sanctioned events including practices and games starting today thru Sunday March 30th.
March 14th Field Clean-Up Day is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
Our Opening Day Jamboree on March 28th will be cancelled.
Picture Day will be rescheduled at a later date.
We will reassess the situation in two weeks and provide further guidance at that time.
No one wants to get out on the field more than I do, but I strongly believe that the health of our players, coaches, parents, and families should be our top priority.
When the health and safety concerns have subsided, we will get back on the field and play ball. If any of you have questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Please know that this is a very difficult decision for me to make. Thank you all for your patience, I look forward to getting back out on the field soon.
